Amerika Samoa Humanities Council offered a grant award of $5,000 to Nu’uuli Methodist Church to support their project entitled “History of Yesterday, Enriches the Youth of Tomorrow.” Objective of their project is to teach about the history of their village, notably a historic figure from Nuʻuuli village, a warrior known by the name of Mageafaiga and his flaming fire (afimutasi). Other aspects of the project, it will be in workshop format, and scheduled events such as the Ava Ceremony, Samoan Handicrafts, and History will be held there.
