This project was sponsored by the Amerika Samoa Humanities Council to develop a teaching tool to help in teaching and the study of the history of American Samoa. This was a project that took over four years to complete. The book was launched in the summer of 2009 and was adopted by the American Samoa Department of Education soon after. This is a milestone for our people and those who may have interest to learn about American Samoa now and in the future. We hope that this is the beginning for much more thorough research and documentation of our history.
